| NDC Hits Back At Akufo-Addo |
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has slammed Nana Akufo-Addo, Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for seeking to create the impression at his maiden rally for the 2012 general elections held at James Town, Accra, that he is a victim of NDC attacks saying instead of "arrogantly putting up an ‘I don’t carism’ attitude about he being tagged as a user of hard drugs, a dangerous womanizer and an ethnocentric character, it would do him a lot of good if he clears the air over these vices he is believed to indulge in".

| NKRUMAIST UNITY IS A FIASCO . . . |
In a party like the Convention People’s Party, which is just emerging from its political stupor, there are many ills to right, many problems to solve. As a result, the party has become vulnerable and easy prey for immature and unscrupulous politicians. It is a fact that the CPP has become very easy for the WEAK in these conditions to discover grounds of dissatisfaction in which to plant and water the seeds of resentment and grievances against the STRONG. Yes! Such is the person who explicitly calls herself the rightful landlord of the party, just by the sheer fact that she has been deceived to buy into the perception that the party belong to her family.

Mr Speaker, events in the Middle East continue to have far-reaching implications for the peace and stability of the region and of course our own security.
Libya continues its profound transformation after more than 40 years of dictatorial rule. On 20 September the National Transitional Council took up Libya’s seat at the United Nations General Assembly. Order has been restored in Benghazi and Tripoli, as I saw when I visited with the Prime Minister last month, and the NTC has consolidated its hold on the vast majority of Libya’s territory.
